Wolkentanz II - Pedigree - Performance - Offspring

Wolkentanz II is considered one of the best sons of Weltmeyer with very high breed values in Germany. He was ranked #2 of all Sires with 172 points for producing type and riding horse qualities & ranked # 14 of all Sires for Dressage with 145 points according to the 2007 Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste. He adds type, excellent gaits, temperament & rideability to his offspring and is producing some truly outstanding competition horses showing & winning in Europe & North America.

Already in 2008, Wolkentanz II had 9 offspring competing at “S” (Advanced) level Dressage and 1 competing at “S” (Advanced) level Jumping.

He has sired 12 Approved sons (3 of which received Premium) & 21 State premium mares (42% of inspected mares).

He has sired many Bundeschampionate participants, riding horse Champions & offspring that are commanding top prices at the most prestigious sales and auctions. His son Wyllow R out of a Don Primero mare was the Bronze Medallist in the five-year-old division of dressage horses at the 2008 Federal Championships & sold for 380,000 Euro ($520,000.00 U.S.) at the PSI Auction in December 2008.

WIG WAM: (Wolkentanz II x Matador)
2000 Bay Oldenburg gelding ridden by Shelly Francis & owned by Patricia Stempel located in Florida. A horse destined for the Grand Prix ring, already at age 8, Wig Wam was Showing and Winning at Prix St. George and Intermediaire I (2008). Shelly Francis rode Wig Wam to victory in the Prix St. George class of the CDI Wellington Dec. 4-7 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center where they also won the Intermediare I class and the Intermediaire Kur. At the Wellington Classic Dressage Holiday Challenge in West Palm Beach Dec. 13-14, Shelly & Wig Wam were again big winners at FEI level scoring a 73.50 percent at FEI Prix St. George. In January 2009, Shelly & Wig Wam again won their Prix St George class with a score of 74.737% at The Oaks of Lake City Prix St. George at Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge I.

WAKANA: (Wolkentanz II x Wanderbursch II)
2000 Thuringer Mare. Owned by Ulla Salzgeber & Competing Internationally in Europe and winning at Prix. St. George and Intermediaire I. Winner of the Prix St. George Special at the World Championships in Verden in 2008. Wakana (the gentle) is one of Ulla’s top horses and is destined for the Grand Prix ring. Ulla says that “Wakana is just an amazing horse!”

WELTCLASSICER: (Wolkentanz II x Goldstern x Goldfasam)
Premium Oldenburg Stallion. Sold for 120,000 Euro at the 2007 Vechta Elite Auction. 30 day test in Munster-Handorf Scoring: Interior 9.0 / Trot 9.0 / Canter 9.0/ Walk 8.13 / Jumping 7.94 / Rideablity 8.75 Bundeschampionate Qualifier: Weltclassicer won the Prussendorf Germany Bundeschampionate Qualifier June 4, 2007. Under the Spanish Juan Manuel Vidal, Weltclassicer scored 8.6 and won the 5-year old division. He was one of only two 5-year olds that earned a ticket to Warendorf.

WOLKENSONG: (Wolkentanz II x Sandro Song)
Oldenburg Stallion ridden by David Marcus (Barn name Wilson.) Competing & winning at Intermediare I in 2008. Wolkensong’s show highlights include Reserve Advanced Champion at Blainville Classic and Advanced Champion at CNE Classic in 2008. "Wilson is an absolute pet with a real desire to please," says Marcus. "He also has a great aptitude for piaffe and passage making him a real world class horse.” Marcus & Wolkensong have set their sights on entering the Grand Prix ring in 2009 with an eye to competing at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.

WELL DONE: (Wolkentanz II x Lord Liberty G)
5 yr old Oldenburg gelding. On May 23, 2008, Well Done became the winner of the 5-year old Dressage Horse division group two at the Bundeschampionate qualification classes at the Haftenkamp Horse Show, one of the biggest 2008 Bundeschampionate qualifiers of the year.

WANTHANO: (Wolkentanz II x Rubinstein)
Approved Hanoverian Stallion Qualified for the 2004 BUNDESCHAMPIONATE for the 4 Yr Old Stallion Class. Completed his 30 day Test at Adelheidsdorf in 2003 finishing first overall. (See results below). Competed in the 2006 Zwolle International Stallion Show Zwolle, The Netherlands. In the Young Stallion - FEI 6-year olds - Preliminary Test he placed 3rd behind Ingrid Klimke & Damon Hill ( 2nd) & Hans Peter Minderhoud & Florencio (1st)

Sold April 18, 2005 for the top price of 110,000.00 Euro at the Verden 2005 Elite Auction of Hanoverian Sport Horses. The chestnut mare Wolkina, was the price highlight dressage horse.

WHOOPIE GOLD: (Wolkentanz II - Romancier)
Ridden by Kevin Kohmann, the 4 yr old mare Whoopie Gold earned 81.071 percent, the highest score of the "Welcome back to White Fences " show at Loxahatchee, Florida held Feb 21-22 2009. WINTERMAGIC: (Wolkentanz II x Ex Libris)
Bay Oldenburg Gelding. At 4 yrs old, sold at 2003 PSI Auction for 65.000 Euro. He was described in the auction catalogue as follows: ”Winter Magic is a delightful four-year old Oldenburg gelding with an extraordinary canter. He's definitely fit for the international dressage ring.”

Bay Oldenburg gelding sold to the Netherlands at the 2007 Elite Oldenburg Auction in Vechta for 41,000 Euro.

WOLKENLOS: (Wolkentanz II x Feiner Stern)
Approved Oldenburg Stallion. Rated Premium at his 2003 licensing. Received 9’s on rideability, trot & gallop at performance test. 2005 North East Cosequin /USDF Champion Stallion. A lovely horse & sire of many Premium Oldenburg foals.

WIE VON ANDERN STERN (Wolkentanz II x Silvio I x Freiherr)
Ridden by Barbara Strawson (Willie) earned blue ribbons (1st place) in both Third Level Test 1 and Test 2 GAIG/ USDF Region 1 Dressage Championships in 2008. Willie turned a lot of heads during his first season at Third Level. At the Col. Bengt Ljungquist Memorial Championship Region Finals Willie placed first at Third Level Test 3 and eighth in the Third Level Championship. The judges, impressed with his presence and gaits, consistently rewarded him with 8s and 9s.

2001 Black Oldenburg Stallion. Rated premium because of the quality of his offspring. Standing at Gestut Birkhof.

WONKA: ( Wolkentanz II x Feingau)
1999 Bay Hanoverian gelding, owned by Marta Kauffman (CA). As a 5 Yr old ridden by Jaye Cherry, Wonka won the Guy De Roaldes Memorial Trophy for the high score, 81.15 % for training level, test 4. They also earned the CDS Open Training Level Championship and USDF Region 7 Open Training Level Reserve Championship (69.80%) at the GAIG/USDF Region 7 Championships. Currently training at Advanced level dressage.

WORSTEINER : (Wolkentanz II x Warkant)
2000 Bay Oldenburg Stallion – competing successfully at Prix St. George and Internediare I ridden by Stine Goetesen from Norway. At the 2008 Nordic Baltic Championships, Vilhelmsborg, Denmark, November 20-23, 2008, this young stallion had good placings against competitors from Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Finland placing 7th at Prix St. George and 5th at Intermediare I.

WOODSBEE: (Wolkentanz II - Don Gregory)
2003 Hanoverian gelding. At 4 yrs old already a winner of several riding horse classes including the 4 year old Championship in Isernhagen, Germany.

ESPLENDIDO GARVEY: (Wolkentanz II x Rubinstein x World Cup I)
Ridden by his Spanish rider Alfonos Ruiz Mateoz, Esplendido Garvey was Reserve Champion 5 Yr Old Dressage Horse in Spain in 2005. He also won the final of the Sunshine Tour in the Spring of 2005. In 2006 he won the qualification for the 6 Yr Old Dressage Horse in Spain.

At the 117th Hanoverian Elite Auction in Verden, Germany, October 14, 2007, Cristobal Colon, a black Hanoverian gelding sold for 230,000.00 Euro as the second most expensive horse of the auction.
